Tonight on TV, Sunday, November 30, 2025, Rai 1 reports his audience to the years of Carosello with Carosello in Love a TV film with Giacomo Giorgio and Ludovica Martino produced by Grøenlandia in collaboration with Rai Fiction, directed by Jacopo Bonvicini. A sentimental journey between advertising, dreams and desires, which evokes the atmosphere of an era in which television managed to unite the country and make millions of Italians dream. Next month at the end of December, the movie will arrive on Netflix.
Carosello in Love is not only a sentimental story, but also a fresco of the social, linguistic and aesthetic evolution of the country between the Fifties and Seventies, through the look of professionals who formed the most iconic television program of the twentieth century. It is a bridge between generations: the affectionate memory for those who lived that time, the discovery of the origins of advertising on TV and a brilliant love story for the younger. In the course of production, great care has been devoted to historical reconstruction: costumes, settings and photography accompany with consistency the evolution of the decades, without ever renouncing a poetic dimension able to return the deep sense of a shared memory.
Carosello in love, la trama
The film is written by Simona Coppini and Armando Festa, and takes us in 1957, the year in which television enters the Italian homes, turning from technical curiosity to mass cultural phenomenon. On this background the story of Laura, an ambitious, creative and determined girl, fascinated by the world of TV, and Mario, a disillusioned but brilliant director, who approaches Carosello with the idea that it is only a temporary parentheses, before returning to his strongest aspiration: the author’s cinema. Between the two comes a complex bond, made of distances and reconciliation, while around them Italy changes, grows and is told through the new language of advertising and television.
Carosello in Love reopens the curtain on a love story lasting twenty years, among viewers of all ages and the Public Service, is a tribute to Italian television and its role in culture and entertainment of our country.

In addition to Giacomo Giorgio and Ludovica Martino in the cast we find Alessandro Tedeschi, Federico Tocci, Alberto Astorri, Guido Quaglione, Isabella Mottinelli, Giuseppe Brunetti and Massimo De Lorenzo, and with Dora Romano, in a choral narrative that returns the atmosphere of ferment and dream that characterized an era.
