He arrives on Rai 1 and RaiPlay The Other Inspector, a fiction with Alessio Vassallo and Cesare Bocci who has a job inspector at the centre, thus dealing with a crucial issue still today as that of safety at work. Freely treated by the novels of Pasquale Sgrò who is also a project consultant, the fiction is written by Salvatore De Mola, Andrea Valagussa, Paola Randi and Emanuela Rizzuto, co-produced by Rai Fiction – Anele – Rai Com, directed by Paola Randi. The fiction consists of 6 episodes divided into 3 evenings aired on 2-3 and 9 December on Rai 1 and streaming on RaiPlay.

The Labour Inspector Domenico Dodaro is a real legend: the incorruptible who does not look at anyone in the face, the one who has contributed to defeat an imposing network of corporals between Calabria and Basilicata. For friends, however, Domenico is simply Mimmo and is the father of Mimì, a girl awake and fighting. As soon as he arrived in Lucca holding his daughter, the man is visibly excited: by decision of the headquarters of the inspectorate was transferred to the Tuscan city where he was born and raised.
This can only do him well at a time of life in which he has to deal with the premature death of his beloved wife, Laura. And, fortunately, in Lucca, ready to welcome him and make him feel at home, there is his family: her mother Carla, her sister Lucrezia with her new boyfriend, Dissenso, and especially Alessandro, friend of
family, who has been working as a mental coach since being forced into a wheelchair; solar and ironic, it hosts Domenico and Mimì at his home. Alexander was a dear friend and colleague of Pietro Dodaro, father of Mimmo, who was victim of an accident at the construction site where he worked when our inspector was just a teenager. The same incident in which Alexander lost the use of his legs.
When Domenico arrives in Lucca, it is evident to all that in reality it is Mimì to take care of the father and not vice versa. And not that this activity is uneasy for the child, already quite busy with the school and its favourite sport: football. Tener heads the distraction of the father is not easy, especially when Domenico takes home the job. And this is how, allying with his new best friend Alexander, Mimi decided to keep faith in the promise made to his mother at the point of death: Let Domenico find a new girlfriend. When Mimì knows Raffaella – the PM with which Mimmo collaborates on each case, as well as former classmate found – she immediately understands that she is the perfect woman for her father. But the question is: Will Mimmo understand? Or will he be distracted by the lusts of the beautiful Eleonora Lagonegro, the first high school love, however, never paid?
Not to mention that the protagonist, set foot in his office in Lucca, is overwhelmed
from so much work to have no time to think about anything else. Combined by the friendly Carabiniere Mariotti and the sixty-year-old Vincenzina, archivist from the prodigious memory, Domenico will not disappoint the expectations related to the fame that precedes him: will be able to face the most diverse cases thanks to its infallible method or, as he calls it, the knowledge to ask the right questions. Then wear his headphones, isolate themselves from the surrounding world and find the answers that escape others, because accidents at work are almost never the case.
And he will understand that sometimes it is much more difficult than expected to come to the head of one truth. Like the one that has to do with his father’s death, which from the cards found in the inspectorate, seems to hide something else. Was it really an accident at work as they always told him? A question, the most difficult of all, which will question all its certainties and which will be very dangerous.

1×01 Return home: Domenico Dodaro is struggling with a white death in a bakery. The security system did not protect Karina, a 19-year-old worker, dragged into a warp roller. At first, it is suspected that the cause is to be charged to the lack of concentration of Karina, tired due to intensive evening dance workouts. Mimmo, however, will find that the truth is quite different.
1×02 Ghosts from the past: Habib Moradi’s body is found in front of the emergency room. Given his physical condition, Raffaella believes it is a plague but Domenico is not convinced, he fears it may be an accident at work: a tragic fall from above, perhaps from a scaffolding. Thanks to the tenacity in our inspector, the incident will shed light on a much more complex problem.
