King Arthur – The power of the sword, the film by Guy Ritchie tonight on TV

Thursday, December 4, 2025 on 20 will air the film “King Arthur – The power of the sword“. The film is directed by Guy Ritchie and is inspired by Thomas Malory’s “The Death of Arthur”. Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey and Djimon Hounsoucon are the protagonists. The appointment with the film is at about 21:20 on Italy 1. The film (King Arthur: Legend of the Sword in English) was released in 2017 and cashed only $148.6 million worldwide, of which $39.1 million in the US market. In Italy the film has cashed 1,9 million euros.

The plot of King Arthur – The power of the sword brings us to a time when men and magicians lived peacefully. But that time is over: and it is immediately war. When the father of little Arthur is murdered his uncle Vortigern (Jude Law) decides to take over the throne. He was robbed of the rights that he would have for birth and without knowing who he really is, Arthur manages to survive in the dark alleys of the city and only when he extracts the mythical sword from the rock his life changes radically and is forced to accept his true inheritance… whether he likes it or not.
