Attitudini: Nothing, the documentary about Aldo Giovanni and Giacomo lives on memories…from podcast

He debuted at the cinema on the weekend of the Immaculate, the documentary film Attitudini: No one dedicated to Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo. A biographical story that brought the fans of the trio into the hall with a recess on the first weekend of more than 800 thousand euros and the million within reach on the day of the Immaculate. Delicate, moving, reflective, the style chosen by Sophie Chiarello to tell the story of the trio that he knows well having made the director help in different their films, is the suffused one of those who make available to the story.

Why tell the story of the trio, their origins, the years of the school, the years of climbing to success? It is difficult to give an answer if not in the will to show how documentaries should not only treat complicated themes, true crime or be biographies of a dead man, but that they can tell a city like Milan between the 1970s and 1990s through its comic scene, from derby to Zelig. The operation of Agidi Due in association with Medusa Film, Indigo Film and Driadi obviously addresses the fans of the trio, but paradoxically it could even more displease them. Because there is so much melancholy, there is a look to the past, there are iconic brushstrokes but they are not the center of the story.

It is not a Techetecheté of AGG as the desire to tell the men behind the characters, behind the masks worn in the sketches and in the clips. So it almost “strange” to hear Aldo speak with a Milanese inflection, even though he is normal having grown in that city where he was “exclusive” today, in which he became friend of John at the oratory because he was a cousin of a friend. The friendship between John and Aldo is vivid and present also in the documentary, Giacomo remains the third, the one arrived after, but has brought the definitive form of the trio. The interview with Marina Massironi, for example, hides the hint of nostalgia for those who felt abandoned. She who was “grown” artistically with Giacomo, merged with the trio and then expelled when it was no longer necessary. A farewell that maybe was not as simple as you could seem.

Sophie Chiarello chooses to follow the trio dynamically, with a room always fixed in the foreground on someone who is one of three or the respondent guests who were an important part of the professional life of the trio. The documentary does not delay their current private or the years of their formation, but after being children and adolescents, Aldo Giovanni and Giacomo simply become actors, as if the human part disappeared to return only through their professional stories.

The title Attitudini: No one acquires meaning when it turns out to be linked to Aldo’s school life, representing the judgement assigned by a teacher on the page, when the school was judging. Very nice the fact that the song by Brunori Sas that accompanies the documentary has as text a poem by Aldo. Attitudes: no one remains an ideal documentary film for home vision. As much as it can please the collection obtained, its ideal location is within a platform (and will arrive on Prime Video that is among the collaborators) or in a first winter/Christmas television evening. The feeling she leaves is that she has made podcast anecdotes visually.
