Peaky Blinders returns with a new chapter the film The Immortal Man. The film continues the Shelby events and reports on the screen Tommy Shelby after the end of the television series. It is written by Steven Knight and directed by Tom Harper. The film will be released at the cinema, in selected rooms, on March 6, 2026 and will be available streaming on Netflix, from March 2026

Peacky Blinders: The Immortal Man, la trama

The story is set in Birmingham in 1940, during World War II. Tommy Shelby comes back from a self-imposed exile. He must face threats that threaten his family and the whole country.

The war changes the rules and Shelby will have to decide between protecting her past or destroying it to save everything. The film offers tension, inner dramas and a dark atmosphere like that of the original series. War adds violence, chaos and fear, increasing the sense of danger.

Cillian Murphy takes over Tommy Shelby’s role. Next to him are Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, Sophie Rundle, Stephen Graham, Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, Ian Peck and Jay Lycurgo. Tom Harper’s direction while, of course, Steven Knight’s screenplay.

Il sequel

Netflix has confirmed a sequel series already ordered in two seasons of 6 episodes and set immediately after the events of the film, will be produced for Netflix and BBC. The series will deepen new characters and develop the Shelby plots.

This is the early synopsis: Great Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed during World War II, Birmingham is building a better future made of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to control the massive reconstruction project of the city becomes a brutal competition with mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunities and dangers, and sees the Shelby family as always at the center of its bloody heart.
