Young Sherlock, the first images of Guy Ritchie’s Prime Video TV series

Young Sherlock is the new Prime Video series that tells the origins of the famous detective created by Arthur Conan Doyle, who has had endless variations between films and series, last in time Watson with a drift from medical drama. The TV series explores the life of Sherlock Holmes before he became the genius of the deduction we all know, showing a 19-year-old still inexperienced and rebellious. The show will be directed by Guy Ritchie, recently a producer of Mobland and author of The Gentleman on Netflix, who has also made adaptations of Holmes.

Young Sherlock: la trama

The series follows Sherlock during his first major case, a mysterious murder at Oxford University. Sherlock Holmes is a young man who has fallen into disgrace, instinctive and without filters, who finds himself involved in a murder case that threatens his freedom. His first case will reveal an international conspiracy that will change his life forever. Set in the 1970s in Oxford, with foreign raids, the series reveals the first feats of the young rebel, who still has to become the most renowned resident of Baker Street.

The role of young Sherlock will be played by Hero Fiennes Tiffin. Next to him there will be Dónal Finn (The Time Wheel), Zine Tseng (The Problem of the 3 Corps), Joseph Fiennes (The Tale of the Witch), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor) and Colin Firth (The Address of the King). The series is written by Matthew Parkhill, who also features executive producer along with Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, Colin Wilson and co-executive producer Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson.

At the moment Prime Video has not announced the official debut date of Young Sherlock, talking about a generic 2026 in all 240 countries.
