During the Christmas holidays La7 and La7 Cinema propose a palimpsest designed to accompany the evenings of December and the beginning of the new year with a selection of titles that cross different genres. The program, rich and varied, includes romantic comedies, musicals, adventure films and great screen successes, with interpreters who marked the history of international cinema.

At Christmas on La7 there will be room for big films, there will be Guess who comes to dinner? at the Vigilia while on December 25 there will be a classic like Parenti serpenti for directed by Mario Monicelli and Santo Stefano the film thriller Fargo directed by the Coen brothers. Saturday, December 27th, the club of the first wives with Diane Keaton, will continue with Deep Water on December 30th, while Wednesday, December 31st for the cycle “Remember to laugh”: Horse fever, Basilicata Coast to Coast and The Strange Couple. The first day of 2026 aired The Empire of the Sun while on January 2 The Illusionist. For the epiphany on the other hand the romantic comedy Serendipity directed by Peter Chelsom.
Aldo Cazzullo will be back with four appointments entitled The Great Book of the Bible (Sunday 21 and 28 December and Sunday 4 January and Monday 5 January). Corrado Augias and the Tower of Babele on December 22 will offer a tribute to Pope Francis, while on 29 he will make L’Italai of the arrogant. We sons of Manzoni. Alessio Orsingher instead Tuesday, December 23 will lead All Trump – A Year as President to tell the first 12 months of Donald Trump’s second term to the White House. Alessandro Barbero instead on January 3 will propose In Viaggio with Barbero – Il Caso Matteotti.
La7 Cinema
On La7 Cinema (channel 29), the evenings from December 21 open with a sequence of films designed for a wide audience. The Nonno comedy unleashed with Robert De Niro inaugurates the Christmas period with light tones, followed by Santa Bastardo and the intramontabile Senti chi parla, to which the return of Robin Williams in Hook – Capitan Uncino takes place in the second evening.
The Vigilia offers a pair of “The Millionaire”, winner of eight Oscars, and the legendary “West Side Story” musical, with ten figurines. On December 25th, science fiction with a tris of cult titles: “Stargate”, “Gattaca – The Gate of the Universe” and “2010 – The Year of Contact”.
In the following days the palinsesto alternates different tones and atmospheres: from the Italian comedy “Napolitan spell” to the spy story “Octopussy – Operation Piovra”, up to the contemporary comedy “The Stagisti”. On December 29th and 30th “Point Break” (remake of 2015) and “Senti chi parla 2”.
The evening of 31 December is dedicated to musicals, with a marathon that anticipates midnight and brings together some of the most iconic titles of the genre: from “Funny Lady” to “The Greatest Showman”, passing through “Chicago”, “Priscilla – The Desert Queen” and “Across the Universe”, built on the Beatles songs.
The new year continues on the same line: “Piume di struzzo” opens on 2026, followed by “The usual suspects”, “Mai dire mai”, “The last wolf”, “The Sentinel” and the last chapter of the comic trilogy “Senti chi parla ora”. From 7 to 10 January also arrive “Lion – La strada verso casa”, “L’amore secondo Dan”, “Master & Commander – Challenge ai confini del mare” and “007 – Bersaglio mobile”.
A wide range, which goes through almost a month of programming and aims to create a narrative path able to accompany the public in the brightest weeks of the year.
