The Flash la recensione, gli easter egg come distrazione
Let’s put the cards on the table right now. The Flash is not a bad movie. We’re not in front of Morbius. From here to be a nice movie, though, we’re gone. The screenplay is complicated and easy. To cope with this deep structural defect, it fills the view of long and lively action scenes (reuscite), special effects (result a little less), easter egg profusion and the istrionic interpretation of Ezra Miller, which interprets from two to three (no spoiler) versions of Barry.
Leaving absolutely aside the endless discourse on the actor and character Ezra Miller, which would make us slip into a long and unproductive diatribe, we examine two of the elements of this list. Number one. Special effects. They’re too many, and they’re freaked out. Looks like watching a Looney Tunes movie. The constantly ironic and grotesque tone, from this point of view, does not help, and while being in a couple of particularly successful moments, actively leverages pathos to the scenes that on paper should be exciting and moving. You always expect to see a huge cartoon wood hammer. Number two. The easter egg. The old Batmans, the jokes designed for those who saw all the previous films. This film is full of it, but they are so loud and shouted that, more than to be an eye on the viewer, they seem put there to distract from the flaws of the film. Moreover, we are sure that they take the sign, considering that the general tone makes The Flash look like a children’s movie and that these references are for millennial at least?
Il cast
Ezra Miller plays Barry Allen, and thus The Flash (in all its versions). Sasha Calle is Kara Zor-El, or Supergirl. Michael Shannon is General Zod, who wants to destroy the land. Ron Livingston is Henry Allen, Barry’s father unjustly in prison for the murder of the mother of Flash, who instead is played by Maribel Verdú. Finally, Kiersey Clemons is Iris West.
