The Hunting Wives is a very interesting case from a productive and distribution point of view. The TV series is a Lionsgate production that had been ordered by Starz. Meanwhile, Lionsgate has separated the production side from the distribution side, separating from Starz. The channel then decided to abandon The Hunting Wives, which in the meantime had been entirely turned.
At that point Lionsgate and 3Arts did not lose heart and started looking for buyers for the series, stringing various agreements including with Netflix for the US alone. Released in summer the series became a costume phenomenon reaching a wide popularity, more than many original Netflix titles. The television version makes different choices than the book, increasing suspense and some narrative turns for seriality.

Among the announced entrances are actors like John Stamos, as well as Cam Gigandet, Dale Dickey, Kim Matula and Alex FitzAlan, who will enrich the next year with new characters destined to further complicate the network of secrets.
