Green Book tonight on TV, plot and trailer of the film

Tonight on TV Monday, December 15, 2025 will air Green Book on Rai Movie. Directed by Peter Farrelly, the film won three Academy Awards in 2019 including Best Film, Screenplay and Actor Not Leading to Mahershala Ali, the same three Golden Globe Awards (where it won as Best Comedy Movie). The film cashed $85 million in the United States and $321 million worldwide for this story of life and the relationship between an Italian American bouncer and an African American pianist while making a tour in the deepest and racist USA of the 1960s. The film is inspired by the true story of Don Shirley and Tony Lip pseudonym Frank Anthony Vallelonga father of one of the screenplayers of the film (here’s our review).

Green Book la trama del film

Let’s find out the plot of Green Book together. New York, 1962: the Italian-American bouncer Tony Vallelonga, known as Tony Lip, is forced to look for a job for the temporary closure of the place where he works. The right occasion comes when he meets Don Shirley, a famous jazz pianist.

The African American musician hires him as a personal driver, in view of the tour that will lead him to perform in the states of the south, just where racism is deeply rooted. On the other hand, Tony himself has many prejudices against blacks. It will be a journey that will change life to both going beyond prejudices and differences.
