Gomorra – The origins: free previews in Rome and Naples for the launch of the series

The arrival of Gomorra – The origins on Sky and NOW will be accompanied by two free previews in Rome and Naples in the presence of Marco D’Amore, director of the first 4 episodes of the series, and cast. The public will be able to book their place in the hall for free, until the availability is complete, through the site of The Space Cinema, and have the opportunity to see the first two episodes of the new series introduced by director Marco D’Amore, by the young protagonists of Gomorra – Le Origini, who will debut on Sky and NOW on January 9, and by the historical and beloved cast of Gomorra – La Serie.

The two premieres are scheduled on January 8 at 20.30 at The Space Cinema Moderno in Rome in Piazza della Repubblica and on January 9 at 20.00 at The Space Cinema in Naples in Viale Mediterranean Games.

Gomorra – Le origini, la sinossi

Set in Naples in 1977, the new series is a story about the criminal education of the young Pietro Savastano. The story of how it all started: how the future boss of Secondigliano will enter the world of crime, between dreams too big, for itself and his friends, and a first mad and passionate love, that for Imma. In the background a Naples in full transformation, poor, marked by the smuggling of cigarettes and at the dawn of the arrival of heroin. The new Sky Original series is a journey into the dark heart of an era that defined the face of modern crime.

The first four episodes of the series are directed by Marco D’Amore, also artistic supervisor and co-writer of the project and already unforgettable protagonist of Gomorra – The Series in the role of Ciro Di Marzio, while the last two are directed by Francesco Ghiaccio (Dolcissime, Un posto sicurezza). Produced by Sky Studios and Cattleya, created by Leonardo Fasoli, Maddalena Ravagli and Roberto Saviano, is distributed internationally by Beta Film.

Like the historical mother series that has conquered public and critical in more than 190 territories in the world, Gomorra – Le Origini is taken from the novel “Gomorra” by Roberto Saviano, published by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore. The serial subject and the bet subjects are written by Leonardo Fasoli, Maddalena Ravagli and Roberto Saviano, while the screenplays are signed by Fasoli and Ravagli with Marco D’Amore.

Luca Lubrano plays the young Peter, here ambitious and restless street boy of Secondigliano who together with his inseparable group of friends dreams of a better life, for them and their families. With him in the cast: Francesco Pellegrino as Angelo ‘A Sirena, charismatic malavitoso who works for the Villa clan managing a gambling den, a role that is very close to him.

Flavio Furno plays ‘O Paisano, a misguided prisoner in prison, where he begins to collect “faiths” that follow him in his project: a new chamorra, that be without slaves and without leaders; Tullia Venezia is a very young Imma, who attends high school, plays at the conservatory and dreams of going to study in America; Antonio Buono, Ciro Burzo and Luigi Cardone are respectively Mimì, Tresette and ‘A Macchietta, friends of Angelo ‘A Sirena; Antonio Del Duca, Mattia Francesco Cozzolino, Junior Rancel Rodriguez Arcia and the little Antonio Incalza interpret the friends of the group of Pietro, respectively Lello, Manuele, Toni and Fucariello.

Renato Russo as Michele Villa, called ‘O Santo, heir to the throne of one of the families of the criminal aristocracy of Naples, the Villas. The father, Don Antonio, is Forcella’s boss. To interpret it is Ciro Capano. And Biagio Forestieri as Corrado Arena, king of cigarette smuggling in Naples; Fabiola Balestriere who plays Annalisa Magliocca, the future Scianel, here young mother victim of violent jealousy of her husband; and Veronica D’Elia as Anna, sister of ‘O Paisano.
