Papa unleashed is an American comedy of 2023, known as About My Father, aired on first TV this evening, Friday 26 December 2025 on Rai 3 and RaiPlay streaming. The film is directed by Laura Terruso and stars Robert De Niro and Sebastian Maniscalco. Papà Scatenato, la trama
The protagonist Sebastian is a man of Italian-American origins who lives in the United States and has a stable relationship with Ellie, coming from a wealthy family who owns a hotel chain. The couple is invited by the parents of her to spend a weekend together, the opportunity for Sebastian to make the proposal of marriage, but Salvo, the father of Sebastian remained recently widowed, of Sicilian origins, decides to join the couple to know the consorters. Differences of habits, language and values emerge over the days. Salvo observes with curiosity the environment surrounding him, while Sebastian is often in the role of mediator among distant worlds.
