La Bella e La Bestia live action Disney on Rai 2 tonight Friday 26 December

The Bella and the Beast is the film chosen for the first evening of Friday 26 December 2022 by Rai 2, the live action version of a great animated classic to continue the festive spirit of these Christmas days. Directed by Bill Condon, the film also contains the first homosexual character in a Disney film, Le Tont starring Josh Gad. The film has cashed over 1 billion dollars worldwide and in Italy the considerable amount of 18.9 million euros. The soundtrack is by Alan Menken already author of the music of the animation film.

The Bella and the Beast don’t need any presentations, a timeless classic that everyone knows (here’s a review at the time of the film exit). In a sleepy village of the French province, Belle, daughter of Maurice, an eccentric local artisan, dreams of a different life.

One day, fleeing from a pack of wolves, Maurice finds refuge in a ruined castle, not knowing that that mysterious place is actually the home of a fearsome Beast that locks the misplaced in a tower. Belle puts herself in her search, but discovers that the only way to free her father is to take her place: the girl so becomes a forced guest of the Beast.
