Notting Hill is the modern romantic classic of the 1990s airing tonight Friday 26 December 2025 on Network 4. With Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant protagonists, “Notting Hill” set in the London district is directed by Roger Mitchell and written by Richard Curtis. The plot of Notting Hill tells the story of William Thacker the owner of a library located in Notting Hill, a London neighborhood. Will’s life is upset when he meets the international star Anna Scott, who will one day enter his library. Will recognizes her immediately, and from agitation she gets excited and spills an orange juice, so she will convince her to change in her shared apartment with friend Spike. She suddenly kisses him but immediately after he asks him to keep the secret and not reveal it to anyone.
To apologize Anna decides to invite him to her hotel room and Will, and soon afterwards she will meet at the press conference of her last film. But Will can’t stop thinking about her and decides to invite her to her sister Honey’s birthday, she accepts because she sees her as an opportunity to be herself for the first time after so long. In this way the relationship between Anna and Will will become more and more intimate, until Jeff, the actress’ boyfriend, will not overwhelm this love in grass.
He spends time and Anna will return to Will, but the two begin to discover differences between them that seem insurmountable. Will the two play a sort of cat and mouse game for a long time, will they eventually find a square or take separate streets?
