Friday, December 26, 2025 on Canale 5 will air the film “Il Primo Natale“. The film is directed by Ficarra and Picone, who also dress the roles of the protagonists together with Roberta Mattei, Giacomo Mattia and Giovanna Marchetti. The appointment with the film is for tonight at about 22:00 on Channel 5. The film is produced by Medusa Film, and was released at the cinema in late 2019, obtaining an extraordinary success in the Christmas period. The film, in fact, has cashed well 15,4 million euros in Italy.
Il primo Natale, la trama e il cast
Comedy of the equivocs directed and interpreted by Ficarra and Picone is the plot of The First Christmas. Sicily, 2019: Salvo is a clumsy sacred art thief while Don Valentino is a pignolo priest fixed with the realization of the living crib. When Salvo attempts to steal the Bambin Jesus and the Valentino chases him, after crossing a reed, they find themselves catapulted in the zero year, in Palestine, at the time of Herod.
The two thus begin the search for the hut of Jesus in order to be able to be granted by Our Lady the miracle to return to Palermo today, but “the real miracle people do it”. Their escape from Palestine and their landing in Italy is a metaphor for illegal landings in our peninsula: the comic duo, in fact, supports the carefree Christmas climate, the theme of poverty and migrants. Their journey in time, in search of Joseph and Mary, which culminates with the birth of Jesus, spends between incomprehensions and equivocal exhilarating.
