Tonight on TV Saturday, December 27th on Rete 4 will air Assassinio on the Orient-Express the adaptation of a great classic of yellow novels, one of the masterpieces of Agatha Christie in the version of and with Kenneth Branagh with a super cast from Willem Defoe to Penelope Cruz from Judy Dench to Jonnhy Depp. The film has been a great success of public cashing over 14 million euros in Italy and 352 million dollars worldwide. Inevitably that Branagh decided to bring back his Poirot to the cinema with Assassinio on the Nile and Assassinio in Venice already on Disney+.
Assassinio sull’Orient Express La trama
Years 30. Detective Poirot, intent on finding some rest in Istanbul, is forced to return unexpectedly to London to solve a case. His friend Bouc, director of the Orient Express, offers him a cabin on his train. Right on the Poirot train knows a well-known businessman – Samuel Ratchett – who wants to hire him as his bodyguard during his travel days as he is afraid of miners.
During the same night, an avalanche derails the train, forcing him to stop waiting for rescue from the nearest station, but the next morning Poirot discovers that Ratchett was murdered during the night with 12 staggers. The detective begins an investigation that will involve the 13 suspected passengers.

Okay, then you really want to know. Well here’s how the movie ends (and the novel)
The answer to the question is everyone. All passengers are guilty, the corpse had 12 knives all different because everyone entered the compartment and infered a knife. The man in fact was actually a murderer from the real surname Cassetti, who had killed and kidnapped the young Daisy Armstrong, daughter of Colonel Armostrong. All the characters are related to the Armstrong family and the case and for this reason they hit the man to avenge the killing of the child.
Daisy Armstrong was kidnapped by her room and held hostage for a ransom, but despite the payment the child was killed. Not only after the body was found, Mother Sonia, pregnant, has a premature birth; Colonel Armstrong commits suicide and is accused and convicted of a waitress, Susanne hanging in the cell.
In the film Poirot decides to tell the 12 suspects his theories, the first is simple: a mysterious assailant disguised as a conductor climbed on the train and then fled. The second is the truth: Mrs. Hubbard is actually Linda Arden, a former theatrical actress, mother of Sonia Armstrong and then grandmother of the little Daisy and gathered all 12 to perform the murder and everyone alternated in the dagger. Poirot decides not to condemn the 12 but remembers how revenge brings nothing but revenge, which evil leads to other evil.
