The Prince of Rome is the film on TV on Rai 2 Sunday 28 December 2025. The film is a Lucky Red production with Rai Cinema in collaboration with Sky Cinema, a comedy with historical background rich in references to the cinema tradition of famous films such as “In the year of the Lord”, “The Marquis of the Grillo” and “Rugantino”. Directed by Edoardo Falcone, he is portrayed by Marco Giallini, Giulia Bevilacqua, Sergio Rubini, Filippo Timi and Denise Tantucci.

Il Principe di Roma la trama

The plot of the Prince of Rome, brings us back to Rome in 1829. Bartolomeo is a rich and greedy man who craves the noble title more than anything. In an attempt to recover the money needed to make a secret agreement with Prince Accoramboni to get his daughter to his wife, you will find yourself in the middle of a surprising horse trip between past, present and future. Guided by exceptional companions will have to deal with themselves and conquer new awareness.
