Father Stu, tonight on TV the film with Mel Gibson and Mark Wahlberg

She arrives tonight on TV on Rai 5 Monday 29 December Father Stu a film that combines boxing and vocation, fists and religion. Inspired by the true story of Stuart Stu Long an aspiring boxer who has a distracted family life and after various vicissitudes ends up becoming a priest. Released in 2022 it was distributed by Sony during the holy week in the United States, cashing around the world $21.8 million. Then another version of the film entitled Father Stu came out in the USA: Reborn intended for a wider audience. In Italy it was distributed on Netflix.

Father Stu, la trama

Inspired by the true story of Stuart Stu Long is the story of a boy who had a dead brother at 5 years and an alcoholic father. He was looking for ransom in the boxer but without success. After the fracture of the jaw tries to move to the cinema becoming an actor but without great results. Ended in life for an accident, feeling miraculous becomes a priest, seeking his vocation.
