Gigolò by chance – The sex guru, a second season lashed and paraded – The review

A few weeks ago, seeing Christian De Sica in What Time Doing Gigolò for Caso – The sex guru, I had the feeling that this second season had something wrong. De Sica appeared unwitting, disinterested with respect to something he didn’t remember, shot for a long time as he said in transmission. Fabio Fazio launched some clips and De Sica was limited to commenting on what he saw underlining the work of the director. And actually looking at the bets that feeling was confirmed.

Gigolò per Caso – La sex guru, una serie svogliata

Gigolò for Caso – The sex guru is a pastrocchio that abuses scenes in slow motion, effects from mounting to stop the foils of a script that has never been developed, massing a series of ideas without putting us in soul. There are so many small gags but nothing really works and everything seems built just to make the usual jokes with the usual tone to Christian De Sica. A rough season but above all a parade where things happened because they had to happen, without real logic.

The first season, without making me cry out to the masterpiece, had its consistency and had tried to tell the relationship between a father and a son very different from each other. It seemed to have clear the audience and the scenes of Alfonso’s “work” teared a smile even for the chosen guest stars that sent back to the comedies of the past. All the characters were inserted in a consistent way within history. In the second season from Frank Matano’s priest to Alfonso’s wife interpreted by Ambra Angiolini, they all seem forced caricatures.

Quando si sbaglia strada

The character of Sabrina Ferilli, presented as a sex guru, is not a dominatrix or an expert in sexuality, as a feminist guru for the liberation of women. He practically chose to dare only in the subtitle and not in history. The screenwriters have probably found themselves in front of a crossroads if to make a provocative, international series or to point to the generalist TV audience, accustomed to the Italian dramas harmless and chose the second street. The feud with the Bremer is forced, little brilliant, lacks a solid structure, the yet another massive idea to give stimuli to a series that no longer has. And after that cringing final maybe it’s better to end it here.
