Tonight on TV Monday 19 January 2026 on Nove will air the film “Spy” an action comedy starring Melissa McCarthy. The appointment is for Saturday at 21:20 on Rai 4, the film was directed and produced by Paul Feig and tries to subvert the genre by inserting a female protagonist, as a CIA agent. The film was released in the Italian theatres in 2015, distributed by 20th Century FOX. Spy has received great success, faced with an estimated production cost of $65 million, has cashed more than 235 million worldwide. In Italy the film has cashed more than 2.3 million euros.

Spy’s plot tells the story of Susan Cooper (Melissa McCarthy) an analyst for the CIA who assists “professionals” remotely in high-risk missions conducted by the CIA. When his partner Bradley Fine (Jude Law) remains dispersed during a mission, and Rick Ford has now been discovered, Susan will volunteer to go undercover in the world of crime trading smuggling weapons.
Being an analyst, no one knows her and her colleague Nancy will remotely assist her in this first mission on the field. Susan’s task is to discover the position of the arms dealer Rayna Boyanov, who is devising a plan to organize a nuclear disaster. Susan is all new, but she is willing to find the trafficker and beat it, so as to prevent the global nuclear crisis.
