Tonight on TV Friday 23 January 2026 on Italy 1 the saga of the Pirates of the Caribbean with The curse of the first moon returns.
La saga
Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the saga was born from the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Disney parks and gave birth to five films as well as comics and novels. Protagonist is the pirate Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Deep and, above all thanks to the great feedback of the first films, has cashed over four and a half billion to the box office. Lately we talk about the possibility of a new saga movie that could or may not see Depp wearing the shoes of the iconic protagonist, but there is nothing at the moment.

Elisabeth Swann, daughter of the governor, is kidnapped by the evil pirate Barbarossa. Will Turner, a childhood friend of the girl secretly in love with her, joins Jack Sparrow, a wandering pirate, to rescue the girl. What they don’t know is that pirates were hit by a curse that leaves them between life and death and full moon nights show their skeletal nature.
