Cuori su Rai 1, the fiction that came to the third season, started in 2021 telling the life in the cardiosurgery department of the Molinette hospital in Turin in the 1960s and arrived at the third season of 12 episodes, for six first evenings, set in the 1970s. Daniele Pecci is no longer part of the cast where Matteo Martari and Pilar Fogliati remained. At the cardiosurgery department of the Molinette you fight a battle that has no precedent: to move the limit between life and death.
The series shakes science and feelings, showing how the greatest revolutions always arise from an act of imagination. In the third season we also tell Italy that changes: in the 1970s feminism, divorce, new family dynamics and even a charismatic psychic questioning the blind faith in science. Cuori is created by Rai Fiction, Aurora TV Banijay and Rai Com with the Rai Production Centre of Turin and with the support of the Torino Commission Piemonte Film, directed by Riccardo Donna, written by Simona Coppini, Anna Mittone and Pierpaolo Pirone.
Cuori 3, la trama
Delia Brunello and Alberto Ferraris are finally husband and wife and now they dream of a son. Meanwhile, in the hospital with their colleagues, they measure themselves with insights that at the time seemed futuristic: the counterpuller, the portable defibrillator, a hand-built Holter, the first attempts to use angioplasty. Where technology is not enough, genius, boldness and madness of imagining new roads are underway. The arrival of a new primary is likely to distort fragile balances, imposing caution where the team is accustomed to daring. Delia and Alberto know something about it, divided between love and painful ethical choices; as well as Fausto and Virginia, eternally in the balance between desire and destiny. All the characters will be forced to discover that, sometimes, it is easier to heal a disease than a broken heart.

The department is populated with new characters: the primary Luciano La Rosa, who arrives and overturns the balance of the department but, behind an apparent bureaucratic rigidity, hides the wound of a son, Bruno, trapped in the steel lung; the determined Roberta, experience pneumologist, who struggles to save Bruno and be respected in an environment dominated by men; Nurse Elena, fragile and insecure, ready to grow under the guidance of Serenella.
