Bright, meticulous and wealthy, Ted Crawford is a Los Angeles engineer who killed his wife and then signed a confession. During the pre-process, however, Ted decides not to be represented by a lawyer and asks the court to go straight to trial. The public ministry is Willy Meachum, one of the most respected that will soon pass to the private sector and will work for a prestigious study, for this reason he chooses this case as his farewell to the public profession: all told him that it will be very simple and painless.
