Inspired by a true story, the plot of Nowhere Special – A love story has the history of John. John is a 35-year-old washer who dedicates his life to raising the four-year-old son, Michael. The mother of the child left them immediately after birth, leading to the collapse of the idea of family he had always cultivated. That between John and the little Michael is a simple life, made of universal daily rituals, a life of complete dedication and innocent love that shows the strength of the relationship between father and son.
But John finds out he has a disease that leaves him a few months of life. Since he has no family to address, he is looking for a new family that can welcome Michael and protect him from the terrible reality that awaits him. But soon John realizes that he feels perfect and fits a family based on a short meeting, it could be a mistake. Undecided about what to do, he decides to ask for help from a young social worker, ready to show him new possibilities.
