Tonight on TV Wednesday 18 February 2026 Iris will air the film “Il Corriere – The Mule“. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood who is also the protagonist of the film with Bradley Cooper and Michael Peña as the protagonists. The film is inspired by the true story of Leo Sharp, a war veteran who will end up becoming a drug courier for the Sinaloa cartel.
Corriere – The Mule (The Mule in English) was released in 2018 and cashed around EUR 174.8 million worldwide, of which EUR 103.8 million in the US market. In Italy the film has cashed 6,6 million euros.

The plot of Il Corriere – The Mule tells the story of Earl Stone, a man of about 80 years left alone and green, forced to face the early closure of his business. At that time he is offered a job for which the only ability to drive a car is required. Simple task, but what Earl doesn’t know is that he just agreed to become a drug courier of a Mexican cartel.
In his new job he is good, so good that his load becomes bigger and for this reason he is assigned an assistant. But this is not the only one to keep an eye on Earl: the mysterious new “mulus” of the drug is also finished in the radar of the efficient DEA agent, Colin Bates. And even if his financial problems are now part of the past, his mistakes are flowing and heavy in his head, bringing him to wonder if he can remedy you before he gets caught by the law… or even by some of the cartel himself.
