On Friday 20 February the film Cattiverie at home (in original Wicked Little Letters) of 2023 released in February 2024 in the United Kingdom and in April of the same year in Italy, with a global collection of over 27 million dollars of which 1.445 million euros in Italy.
In the middle of the film the true story of two neighbors at war and a series of anonymous oscene letters that sent an entire nation to subjugation in the early 1920s. Cattiveries at home is a fun comedy with a strong British humor that sees protagonists Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley in the roles of two diametrically opposite women: while the first is deeply conservative and linked to traditional values, the second is a free, modern woman who refuses to be labeled. It won’t be long before the two start not to tolerate each other..

It’s 1922. A town overlooking the southern coast of England is the scene of a Pharisee and sometimes left scandal. Edith Swan (Olivia Colman), native to the place and deeply conservative, and Rose Gooding (Jessie Buckley) turbulent Irish immigrant, are two neighbors.
When Edith and his fellow citizens begin to receive obscene letters full of involuntarily exhilarating exhilarating shelving, suspicions fall on the busted Rose who is accused of the crime. Anonymous letters trigger a national protest that flows into a process. But when women – led by the Gladys Moss (Anjana Vasan) – decide to investigate the crime, they begin to suspect that there is a lack of tits and that Rose may not be guilty in the end.
