The film tells the story of Jack Cole, a cop of a few words, mystical, with an unclear past. He was transferred to Los Angeles to help Jim Campbell, a local cop, solve a series of brutal murders in which the victims are found crucified. The murders that have occurred since Jack arrived in Los Angeles suspicious Jack. When the killer, known by the name “Father of the Family”, kills Ellen DunLeavy, who is the ex-wife of Jack and mother of her two children, and her new husband Andrew DunLeavy, the killer hunt will become personal to Jack.
