Enzo, Cantet’s latest film on Sky and NOW on February 22

On Sunday, February 22, 2026 on Sky Cinema and NOW comes Enzo, a film of the 2025 final project written and conceived by the director Palma d’Oro Laurent Cantet and brought to completion by friend and historical collaborator Robin Campillo, an intense and deeply human film.

Presented as an opening film at the Quinzaine des Cinéastes of the Cannes Film Festival 2025, ENZO is a French-Italian drama that crosses with a lucid and delicate look adolescence, family conflicts and the search for its identity. A work that gathers and renews the cinematic heritage of Cantet, entrusted to the sensibility of Campillo, who deeply respected its vision and spirit.

In the middle of the story there is Enzo, sixteen years old, interpreted by Eloy Pohu, flanked by Pierfrancesco Favino in the role of a severe and disoriented father, and by Élodie Bouchez, a careful and silent watcher of the transformations of the son. Through an intimate and unbiased narrative, the film sets out the discomfort of a generation suspended between inherited privileges and the urgent need to find a place in the world.

With ENZO, Cantet and Campillo return to question the relationship between individual and society, the weight of expectations and the difficulty of choosing an alternative path, building a story made of daily gestures, silences and looks, able to return all the fragility and strength of the teenage age.

Enzo, la trama del film

Enzo is 16 years old and lives with the family in a luxurious villa overlooking the sea, in the south of France. He grew up in the well-being, comfort and affectionate but pressing expectations of his parents.

Equipped with a strong artistic and human sensibility, driven by the desire to feel useful in a world that makes him feel impotent in front of the injustices, he decides to abandon the school and start an apprenticeship as a mason in a local yard.

In the tumult of adolescence, far from the bright future designed for him, he finds a new perspective on love, friendship and what it really means to belong to a family.
