In Puglia, the Gargano promontory is disputed by two criminal families, the Malatestas and the Camporeales, who seem to come from a remote time governed by the law of the strongest and who have always been marked by bloody disputes, including the Malatesta massacre in 1960. The two contenders, however, finally seem to have reached a truce, thanks to a third family, that of the Montanari. To rekindle the ancient feud, we think of a forbidden love. Andrea, beloved son of the Malatestas and heir of the power of the family, falls in love with Marilena, wife of the boss of the Camporeales, latitante.
Marilena reciprocates, but she is afraid that this thing can rekindle the mad rivalry that for so many had sown blood and massacres in her land. So, he decides to carry out this story clandestinely.
