Thursday 26 February 2026 on the La5 channel (channel 30 of the digital terrestrial) will air a romantic film entitled “Bounce“. It is a film directed by Don Roos, with Ben Affleck and Gwyneth Paltrow as the protagonists. The appointment with the film is at about 21:10 on La5.
The film came out in the world’s cinemas in 2000 cashing just over $53.4 million worldwide. The collection data in Italy are not available.
Bounce, la trama
The film is set just before Christmas, when Chicago Airport is hit by a violent snowstorm that will cause the cancellation of many flights. Among the locked passengers are Buddy Amara, a single ad and Greg Jannell, a writer, who were headed to Los Angeles. The two know each other during the waiting and will make friends.
When Buddy’s flight is about to leave, he decides to give his ticket to Greg, so he can reach his family waiting for him in Los Angeles to celebrate Christmas. Buddy will stay in Chicado with Mimi Prager, a young woman, like him stuck at the airport, with whom he will spend a night together.
The next day Buddy discovers that Greg’s plane crashed and all passengers died. From there Buddy will fall into a spiral made of guilt, and to soothe the pain will jump on alcohol. He spent time, Buddy went to a rehab clinic and decided to meet Greg’s wife to face guilt. That’s how Buddy will know Abby, who doesn’t know the story of the ticket exchange, but at first he won’t tell him anything, allowing the birth of a love between the two, but he left a lie.
