Transformers – The awakening is the seventh film of the saga, sequel to Bumblebee and the second prequel to Transformers. A new epic adventure born from the 80s toy line produced by American Hasbro and Japanese Takara Tomy, who over the years has inspired cartoons, comics, movies and video games. The film is aired tonight on Italy 1 Friday 27 February 2026. Transformers – The Resveglio has grossed around the world $438 million, but costing 159 million was considered a flop by analysts because in order to generate profits it should have fallen between 500 and 600 million.

The seventh chapter of the saga is set in 1994, starring former soldier Noah Diaz and researcher Elena Wallace, who join forces with the Autobots to try to save the Earth from destruction. In the battles around the world there are also two other factions of Transformers, both capable of transforming into animals: Maximals, including Airazor and Optimus Primal, ancestors of Autobots, and Predacons, descended from Decepticon.

It is 2007 when Michael Bay brings to the cinema the first spectacular chapter, Transformers, interpreted by Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel, in which two alien races, Autobots and Decepticons, choose Earth as a battlefield. The film was nominated for 3 Oscar® in 2008.
Two years after the events and the release of the first film, in 2009, the second spectacular Transformers adventure comes out The revenge of the fall where we find Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox who, together with the Autobots, are faced with having to fight against the Decepticons who intend to awaken their supreme leader.
2011 was the year of Transformers 3, in which John Turturro and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley joined Shia LaBeouf in the cast. Here the Autobots must not only defend themselves from the Decepticons, but also from a new terrible enemy. In 2014 the fourth chapter of the saga dedicated to the characters of Hasbro, Transformers 4 – The era of extinction with Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci in which, five years after the events of the third film, an inventor found Optimus Prime, the leader of Autobots. In 2017 Mark Wahlberg returns, this time together with Anthony Hopkins, in Transformers – The last knight where an unexpected alliance is revealed to be the only chance to save the Earth from a spatial threat.
