The long journey that tells the life and passions of one of the greatest artists of Italian music. Produced by Rai Fiction and Casta Diva Pictures, directed by Renato De Maria and written by Monica Rametta, the film was able to conquer the audience of the rooms thanks to an intense and respectful look on the human and creative universe of Franco Battiato, interpreted by an extraordinary Dario Aita. From Sicily to its arrival in Milan in the 1970s, the film explores crucial moments of the journey towards success and accompanying it until returning to the beloved land of origin.

The story follows the young Beatiato from Sicily upon his arrival in Milan in the 1970s, crossing the crucial moments of his artistic and spiritual journey, until his return to the beloved land of origin. An inner journey that accompanies the birth of a unique musical vision, capable of combining experimentation, spiritual research and great popular success.

At the center of the narrative also the evolution of his musical talent and decisive encounters that marked his career and his human journey, including those with Giuni Russo, Juri Camisasca and Giusto Pio, friend and co-author of many of the most iconic songs of the repertoire of Battiato.

Il cast

In the cast, next to Dario Aita, Elena Radonicich, Simona Malato, Ermes Frattini, Nicole Petrelli, Giulio Forges Davanzati, as well as Anna Castile and the extraordinary participation of Joan Thiele. The original music is signed by Vittorio Cosma with Giuvazza Maggiore.
