Vanina – A vice-questor in Catania, anticipations of the first episode of Channel 5 fiction

Second season for Vanina-Un Vicequestore in Catania, on Channel 5 from March 4 for four weeks (with bets available on Mediaset Infinity). Directed by Davide Marengo and Riccardo Mosca, the series is inspired by the novels of Cristina Caesar Scalia, produced by Palomar (at Mediawan Company) for RTI, written by Lonardo Marini with Debora Alessi (pt. 2) and Carlotta Massimi (pt. 3) and with the collaboration of Cristina Cassar Scalia. Giusy Buscemi returns to play the protagonist, in the cast there will also be Giorgio Marchesi and Corrado Fortuna.

Vanina – Un vicequestore a Catania 2, la trama

For the vice-questor to the mobile of Catania Vanina Guarrasi (Giusy Buscemi) a new chapter begins on which the ghosts of the past still alenge. The magistrate Paolo Malfitano (Giorgio Marchesi) promised her to leave the Antimafia of Palermo and turn on with her, not before, however, to have arrested Salvatore Fratta, the last of his father’s killers still on the loose.

It seems that it was precisely the latitante, in fact, to leave in the house of Vanina a bullet, sign of a threat that raises around the police the shields of his team: the Chief Inspector Carmelo Spanò (Claudio Castrogiovanni), his right arm, the very efficient Inspector Marta Bonazzoli (Paola Giannini), the superintendent Mimmo Nunnari (Giulio Monica.

Meanwhile, however, life flows with the same raid of the Mountain that dominates Catania. Vanina must help the rash friend Giuli De Rosa (Dajana Roncione) to keep a secret and protect the legal medical friend Adriano Calì (Alessandro Lui) from a truth that could break it.

And then there is the return of Manfredi Monterreale (Corrado Fortuna), a charming and sympathetic doctor, who will trigger the jealousy of Paul. Finally, there will be no new intricate investigations to be followed: who could have it with the benefactor found dead in the basement of a pub? What happened to the body spotted by the caretaker in the abandoned hotel? Who committed a murder during the mystical feast of Sant’Agata? How much does it weigh to investigate the death of someone you love?

La trama della prima puntata – L’uomo del porto

The episode is taken from the novel “L’uomo del porto” by Cristina Cassar Scalia published by Giulio Einaudi publisher.

Vanina and Paul are together again, I decided to crown their dream of love, but only when Salvatore Fratta will be captured. This is the last killer still free of the commando who killed the father of Guarrasi. While Paul is in Palermo to direct the investigations, Vanina, despite him, must accept the protection of Spanò and the carusi that, after the mafia warning, do not lose sight. Vanina asks Lo Faro to investigate secretly, because she feels that something strange is hidden behind that threat. In the meantime, the team is struggling with a new case: the murder of Professor Vincenzo La Barbera, champion of the fight against drugs and for this reason the clans. The man attended the parish of Fr Rosario Limoli and had been a mentor for Thomas Ruscica, a young man from the difficult past, but brave and determined to change his life. Vanina’s intuition prompts her to investigate the past of the professor, which was a mysterious tragedy.
