After the release of Challengers by Luca Guadagnino in 2024 as the last star performance, Zendaya remained on the side for the entire 2025, collaborating on the shooting of four new films plus a TV series, all coming out in 2026. Born in 1996, Zendaya became the youngest to have won the Emmy as the best actress in a drama series with Euphoria, a prize awarded in 2020 and 2022. The long-awaited third season will be released simultaneously with the United States on April 13, available in streaming on NOW and Sky Atlantic. The new eight-episode season will find the protagonist Rue Bennett in Mexico, indebted with the drug dealer Laurie and struggling with his adult life, five years after the events narrated in the second season. The actress states that the film was “a real whirlwind” adding: “I did in four months what I usually do in eight months, it was like trying to turn eight episodes at once.”.
The Drama written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli and produced by A24 is the first film on the list: with the release scheduled in Italian theatres on April 3, the new film by Dream Scenario director and Sick of Myself sees as protagonists Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, a young couple who intends to marry but, a week from the wedding, a secret will distort their everyday life by testing the relationship. In this regard, the actress states: “For me, this film really talks about what you are willing to accept for love and asks the question: Is love unconditional? In my real life, this film reminded me that if you feel safe with someone, if you feel understood and seen, then you feel you can tell them everything.” Originally the advertising campaign of the film: a fictitious engagement announcement in the American press, on the Boston Globe for accuracy, with names of the protagonists, their biographical data and with the planned marriage on the same day of the release of The Drama.
Christpher Nolan’s Odyssey, on his thirteenth feature film, is the second film released with Zendaya in 2026. The actress interprets Athena, goddess of wisdom and war and protector of Odysseus/Ulysses (played by Matt Demon) in her endless journey. The film was filmed with 70mm IMAX filmmakers promising show, the cast includes Anne Hathaway (in the film Penelope), Tom Holland (Telemaco), Charlize Theron (Circe), Mia Goth (Melanto) and Robert Pattinson (Antinoo), second collaboration on three of this year with Zendaya. The kolossal has been scheduled since July 16 in Italian theatres.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, is the fourth film of the saga dedicated to Peter Parker starring Tom Holland. In the hall since July 29, Zendaya will return to play MJ, Peter’s former girlfriend, the role that represented one of his first major actors. In the final of the previous chapter Spider-man No Way Home, MJ forgets the identity of the protagonist by Doctor Strange and his spell. In this new chapter Peter Parker fights crime as his usual, but with a strong physical and sentimental weakening due to his forced separation with MJ, and a new enemy will complicate his private life. The trailer tends to suggest Bruce Banner/Hulk’s intervention to help him with radiation and a fight with Frank Castle (The Punisher).
Dune – Part Three is the last chapter of the majestic saga signed by Denis Villeneuve. With Italian theatres ready to welcome it on December 18, the film further expands the cast, welcoming Robert Pattinson and Anya Taylor-Joy, the latter present in one scene of the second film. Zendaya continues to play Chani, a warrior of the Fremen people and a key figure in the life of the protagonist played by Timothée Chalamet, Paul Atreides. The film, unlike the second chapter that resumes the events starting directly from the end of the first part, follows the events of the aforementioned Paul Atreides twelve years after the victory over the imperial family, obtaining absolute control over the Imperium. Chani and Paul have two children now, but to threaten their relative tranquility there is the Space Guild, in addition to the Gesserit Goods that continue to plot against them.
