Latin America is a 2021 film written and directed by the brothers D’Innocenzo, Damiano and Fabio. The film presented in competition at the 78th International Film Festival in Venice, earned three nominations for the David of Donatello 2022: the Best Actor for Elio Germano, the Best Author of Photography for Paolo Cernera and the Best Composer for Verdena. No one won.
Latin America was produced by The Apartment, Vision Distribution and Le Pacte and distributed by Vision Distribution. He arrived in Italian cinemas in January 2022 and aired tonight Tuesday 2 June 2026 in clear on Rai 5.

Latin America plot – Massimo Sisti is pleased with the life he does. Dentist wealthy, family father, husband in love, lives in a beautiful villa near Latina. He doesn’t see many people. In addition to his family, composed by his wife Alessandra and two teenage daughters Ilenia and Laura, he has contacts with his father, with whom he spends a relationship not exactly idyllic, and with the great friend Simone. One day, however, something upsets his seemingly perfect life.
Massimo goes down to the basement of his villa for a domestic business. There, completely surprisingly, she finds a child, tied up and gagged. Massimo has no idea how it ended and especially who took it. Without telling the soul alive not to put herself in trouble, her work and her family, she begins to investigate. First suspect of Simone, who needs money, then his father. It will not come to anything, but the story will make it increasingly unstable and paranoid, in a progressive of-slighting of shocking truths.
