News TV series: Oultander Blood of My Blood, two new literary adaptations, legal for ABC

Michael Shannon of Death By Lightining (Netflix) was the best actor in a miniseries. Best star of a drama is Chase Infiniti of The Testaments (Hulu/Disney+) with Alien’s Babour Ceesay: Earth as a non-star. Laurie Metcalf for Netflix’s Big Mistakes and Tim Robinson of The Chair Company were the winners of the comedy as a non-star and protagonist respectively.

UCP is working on the adaptation of Alexandra Andrews’ novel The Fine Art of Living, produced by Scarlett Johansson with his These Pictures. The novel is coming out in the USA, at the heart of the story of Katherine who has the task of keeping order in his group of witches of Aestas. When Silas Khatri, head of a powerful congregation, arrives to assign tasks to the Aestasa, Katherine does nothing to hide his disgust, hates his wealth. But a new threat will end up joining them.

Oultander: Blood of My Blood 2 will debut on September 18 on Starz (in Italy the series was distributed by Sky and NOW).

ABC is working on a light legal drama written by Alfredo Barrios Jr and produced by Ross Fineman. Holding Court will have at the center a legal assistant who cooperates with a lawyer who has barely passed the examination only to take in hand the study of the father.

Katey Sagal enters the cast of the play Apple untitled with Elizabeth Banks, Ted Danson and Rob Delaney. In the center a divorced woman who is about to start a new life but must deal with the exuberance of the father and to brake him must ally with the son of his girlfriend. Sagal will be the father’s new girlfriend, Mavis.
