Far Away (originally Uzak Şehir) is the new Turkish airborne series on Channel 5 afternoon from June 3, 2026. The series was filmed in Narli in the Midyay district, an adaptation of the 2017 Al Hayba Lebanese series. Currently it is formed by 2 seasons with 60 total bets from 120 minutes each. The protagonists are Sinem Unsal, Kuzey Gezer, Gonca Cilasum, Ozan Akbaba.
Far Away, la trama
In the center of Far Away there is the story of a modern and independent woman and mother who finds herself catapulted in an archaic and violent world. Alya Albora lives in Canada and after the sudden death of her husband Boran decides to fulfill his desire to be buried in Mardin, his hometown in the southeast of Turkey. But when he arrives he meets the powerful family of his husband, still linked to the feudal traditions and in particular with the Matriarch Sadakat and with Cihan Albora his brother-in-law. They believe that the son is part of the Albora and cannot therefore leave Mardin. Alya finds herself in a world of privileges but also of secrets and hostility.

Alya is a woman living in Canada with her husband Boran and her little Deniz. His life suddenly changes when Boran dies unexpectedly. To respect his last wish, Alya decided to bring her husband’s body to her hometown, Mardin, for the funeral. Once he arrives, he comes into contact with the powerful and traditional family of his husband. After the ceremony, Alya is willing to return to Canada with her son, however the Boran family, very linked to its rules and the sense of honor, opposes the departure. This situation creates a strong tension and puts Alya in trouble.

Alya calls to Izzet and finds that she is leaving Albora to stay in the hotel and decides to reach him. But it is stopped by Cihan, warned by Pakize, who convinces her that spending the night elsewhere with another man would be inconvenience, considering that Boran has not yet been buried. Alya is furious because she cannot leave either because she does not appreciate the insinuations made by Cihan, but she is pushed by her mother, Sadakat, to continue to incalzate Alya with questions and requests for explanations. Sahin returns home and has a quarrel with his mother who insists that she does not want to go to her sister-in-law Sadakat. The reason is that she is responsible for the arrest of her husband (brother of Sadakat’s husband) who is now in prison, who would have been framed by the woman to replace him with her brother Hasan and put Cihan at the head of the Albora. Cihan and Deniz share a moment of tenderness.

At Boran’s funeral, Ecmel vents all his anger against Sadakat and Hasan for reporting him. Demir approached Alya to tell her he didn’t kill Boran, but he deeply hated him and his brother Cihan for destroying his life. Alya attempts to leave with Deniz, using the help of Izzet, but is intercepted by Cihan, who stops her. In an attempt to bring the child back to the villa, Cihan and Alya quarrel animatedly and, by mistake, Alya shoots Cihan. Back to the villa, Alya extracts the bullet, but Sadakat tells her that Deniz will remain with them, as heir of Boran, and that she will learn to live without her.
