Friday 19 June 2026 on 20 will air Bus 657, an adaptation of Stephen C. Sepher’s novel Heist. Bus 657 sees in the cast the famous actor Robert De Niro, the appointment with the film is at about 21:10 out of 20. Bus 657 (in the USA known as “Heist”, that of the novel) did not have a great success in the world box office. The film in fact has cashed only $3.7 million in the countries where it came out to the cinema, with an estimated production cost of $15 million.
Bus 657, la trama
The film, directed by Scott Mann, tells the story of Luke Vaughn, a veteran Swan casino worker. Man cannot afford treatment for the sick daughter of cancer, so he will ask for help to his rich friend Francis Silva (Robert De Niro), known with the nickname “Papa”.
But Luke will not get a loan from the man, but as if not enough he will also be fired. So to make money as quickly as possible and save the daughter, she will decide to steal them from the casino safe for which she works: a casino of Francis Silva. It’s easy for him, since that money comes from illegal criminals, it can’t be tracked and then denounced.
The plan goes to swollen sails, Luke and his gang manage to bring money out of the casino, but during the escape something goes wrong and find Francis’ men at the heels. Then the group of thieves will take bus 657, take hostage the passengers who were on board, including the driver and a pregnant woman. Luke and his gang will be the most wanted men in America.
