Four new titles in July on IWonderfull between documentary and comedy

In July IWONDERFULL Prime Video Channels is enriched with four new titles, very different from each other by form and language, but equally projected on human relationships and the way we build our perception of reality. From the documentary to the comedy of author, the new offer available on IWONDERFULL from next month aims to question certainties and conventions, inviting those who look closer to what is often taken for granted.

It starts on July 7 with the provocative, absurd and hilarious comedy signed Quentin Dupieux: “The Second Act – Good the First!”, a love letter to terrible films and mediocre actors in their own characters and jokes, as only the tireless French filmmaker is able to do. The film opened Cannes in 2024 and was cast in Lea Seydoux, Vincent Lindon and Louis Garrel.

From the 14th of July comes “Cannibali”, a documentary directed by Hilary Tiscione, with Aldo Nove, Tiziano Scarpa and Alda Teodorani. Previewed at the Film Festival in Rome 2025, the film traces the birth and legacy of the so-called “Cannibal Youth”, a literary phenomenon exploded in the late 1990s around the anthology published by Einaudi Stile Libero.

On 21 July, “Broken English – Being Marianne Faithfull”, the documentary directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard will be available and premiered in Venice 82. With the testimonies of Marianne Faithfull herself and with Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, Zawe Ashton, Calvin Demba, Sophia Di Martino and the participation of Nick Cave, the film is a courageous portrait of the inimitable singer, songwriter and icon.

From 28 July on IWONDERFULL comes a new proposal marked Thomas Vinterberg: in the film masterpiece “The Suspect”, Lucas, father and teacher, is unjustly accused by an entire community of abuse of their children. Written and directed with surgical precision, the film starts from the assumption that always accompanies the beliefs of adults (“Children never lie”), to reflect on the monstrous consequences of a child lie in the hands of wealthy adults. Vinterberg builds a classic film but of great effectiveness, in which is well represented the difficult situation of a man who becomes the scapegoat of an entire community that hunts him.
