Tonight on TV Friday 26 June 2026 on channel 20 will air the film “Le Belve“. The film is directed by Oliver Stone and is inspired by the homonymous novel by Don Winslow, who worked on the screenplay of the film along with Shane Salerno and Oliver Stone. The appointment with the film is at about 21:10 on channel 20. The film (Savages in English), released in world theatres in 2012, cashed around US$82.9 million worldwide, facing an estimated production cost of $45 million. In Italy the film has cashed about 2.4 million euros.
Le Belve, la trama
The film tells the story of Chone and Ben, two best friends ever growing marijuana in Laguna Beach (California). Chon is a Navy ex-military who brought from Afghanistan the seeds of a particular strain of drugs. Ben instead has a degree in marketing and botany, and deals with techniques for cultivation. The turnover of cannabis has made them rich in a short time, and part of the proceeds use it to finance beneficial associations operating in Asia and Africa.
The two friends have an open relationship with Ophelia Sage, everything seems to go the right way, until the day when the two receive threats from the Mexican cartel: Miguel “Lado” Arroyo will give him an intimidating video and advise him to meet with the leader of the cartel to find an agreement.
The two then decide to escape and take refuge with Ophelia in Indonesia and ask Dennis Cain, a corrupt agent of the DEA (the American anti-drug agency), who instead suggests to collaborate with the Mexican cartel. The situation gets serious when the cartel kidnaps Ophelia, forcing the two friends to cooperate. The head of the cartel is a woman, Elena Sanchez threatening to kill Ophelia in case the two refused the agreement. Can the two friends get out of this impossible situation?
