Saturday, July 4, 2026 on channel 20 of the digital terrestrial will air the famous film “The Smocking” a sort of 007 parody with Jackie Chan in the cast and directed by Kevin Donovan. The appointment with the film is at about 21:10 on channel 20. The film, released in the world’s halls in 2002, cashed around $104.3 million worldwide, facing an estimated production cost of $60 million.
Lo Smoking, la trama
The film tells the story of Jimmy Tong, an ex-taxist and now a personal driver of the magnate Clark Devlin, a billionaire playboy who makes double life: he is also a secret agent. Thanks to Jimmy’s ability to take Clark to his destination in no time, the two will soon become friends. Jimmy doesn’t know about his boss’ extra-curricular activities, and when Clark, after an accident, ends up in a coma, Jimmy will be wearing his tux.
That is not a simple dress, but it is a suit that gives to those who wear special skills, such as the immediate learning of martial arts and the ability to walk on the walls. Jimmy will then take the poss of his boss in the fight against international espionage, fighting against terrorists and those responsible for the Devlin accident, all along with Bel Blaine, a brilliant scientist but also inexperienced.
