As was easily predictable, the box office 2-5 July is dominated by Minions & Monsters both in Italy with 2.8 million euros and in the USA with 61 million dollars, but in the USA we expected something more, to the point that Universal reconnects with foreign data that gave a first overall weekend of 160 million dollars.
Box Office Italia 2-5 luglio: Minions & Monsters in testa
Cartoon stick in front of the Italian box office from 2 to 5 July, after Toy Story 5 is the time of Minions & Monsters who got 2,978.535 € considering also Wednesday 1st. Overall it was a weekend from 4.460.240 € with +27% from last but -14% from last year. The Pixar cartoon reached 7,330,492 total in less than a month, good result of Disclosure Day, third in the weekend, with a total of 4.523.434 €. Close to the disinterest for Supergirl with 230 thousand eruo on weekend and a total of just over the million. Obsession’s success continued at 4.9 million total and Backrooms at 4.8 million total.

What are the factors that may have affected the result below the expectations of Minions & Monsters? A festival of July 4th fell on Saturday which did not extend the weekend, the competition of Toy Story 5 which however cashed 30 million dollars and the surprise Young Washington of Angel Studios who reached 20 million. Overall it was a $117 million weekend.
