On Thursday, July 9, 2026 Cine34 will air the film “Ti Presento Sofia“. The film is directed by Guido Chiesa and is an Italian remake of the Argentine film “If you allow not to tell me about Children”. The protagonists of the film are Fabio De Luigi and Micaela Ramazzotti.
The film was released in Italian cinemas in 2018, cashing around €3 million. Meet Sofia is produced by Maurizio Totti and Alessandro Usai for Medusa Film and Colorado Film.

Gabriele, former rocker, now a shopkeeper of musical instruments, is divorced and caring father, concentrated exclusively on Sofia, the daughter of 10 years. When friends present new women to him, he just talks about his daughter, zeroing every chance. One day in the life of Gabriele Ripiomba Mara, a friend who has not seen for many years, who in the meantime has become a dynamic and independent photographer. On their first appointment, right on the most beautiful, Mara reveals to Gabriel that not only does not want to have children, but hates children.
Overwhelmed by passion, Gabriele denies the existence of Sofia. From that moment on, Gabriel’s days are a succession of absurd manoeuvres to hide the presence of his daughter in Mara and vice versa, to the point of transforming each time his apartment in function of which the two will go to find him. Of course, lies have short legs and Gabriel’s Messiah will have short life.
