The summer thriller cycle continues in the sign of Rai 2’s yellow, on Saturday 11 July in the first evening comes Crociera con delitto (Cruise Ship Murder), American film of 2024 directed by Randy Carter. The thriller, made for the American channel Lifetime, takes the viewer aboard a cruise ship where an apparently accidental death starts an investigation of secrets, suspects and new twists.
Like many Lifetime productions, brought to Italy on Rai 2, Cruise with crime builds suspense around a closed and isolated environment. The cruise ship thus becomes the scene of a story in which each passenger can hide something and every new discovery makes it more difficult to distinguish allies from possible guilty. The story alternates investigative moments and psychological tension until the final confrontation with the truth. As always with these films, it is only live streaming on RaiPlay.
La trama di Crociera con Delitto
The protagonist is Olivia, who fails to accept the official version on the death of Aunt Theresa, crashed at sea during a cruise in unclear circumstances. Convinced that it was not a simple accident, the young man decides to investigate personally, concentrating his suspicions on the woman’s husband.
His research brings out the past of his uncle and a dense network of lies that seems to hide the truth about Theresa’s death. But while Olivia approaches the solution of the case, other deaths upset the story, letting intuition that someone is willing to do anything to prevent secrets from coming to light.

To play the protagonist Olivia is Skye Coyne, flanked by Matthew Pohlkamp as Ian and Ryan Carnes as Colin. Carly Reeves plays Theresa, Olivia’s aunt whose death begins the affair.
They complete the cast Tryphena Wade (Ellen), Gina Hiraizumi (Detective Scott), Jeff Doba (Don Warren), Jamie Forst (Sara), Eric Davenport (Carlton) and Desi Louise (Cynthia). The film is directed by Randy Carter and written by Adam Rockoff, Jeffrey Schenck and Peter Sullivan
