Will Ferrell returns to the protagonist with The Hawk, the new Netflix sports comedy available on July 16 (obviously in binge format). Created by Will Ferrell, Harper Steele and Chris Henchy, the ten-episode series recounts the attempt to redeem a legend of golf on the sunset avenue, mixing comics, sports and family dynamics.
With The Hawk, Netflix focuses on a comedy that combines sports with Will Ferrell’s typical humor. The series takes some of the most expensive themes to the actor, such as the fallen champion looking for ransom and the contrast between personal ambition and family relationships, telling the world of golf with an ironic tone but without sacrificing a more emotional component.
La trama
The protagonist is Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, the world’s best golfer in 2004, now away from the days of glory. Despite his age, his arms and a career that seems to have reached the end of the line, Lonnie is convinced that he can return to the top and win the only goal he misses: complete the Great Slam by winning the last Major of his career.
To complicate his dream there are the difficult relationship with the former wife, the rivalry with his son Lance, a new star of professional golf, and a series of opponents ready to show him that his time is now over. But The Hawk is determined to attempt what he considers the greatest reassessment in golf history.

Will Ferrell plays Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, former number one of the world’s golf decided to resurrect. Next to him, Molly Shannon dresses up with her ex-wife, while Jimmy Tatro plays Lance Hawkins, Lonnie’s son and new talent from the professional circuit.
The cast also features Luke Wilson, as the rival Golden Fisk, Fortune Feimster, who plays Lonnie’s new caddies, and Chris Parnell, along with other characters who will accompany the protagonist in his unlikely return to the top of the golf.
