Among the news of Netflix in July comes The map of desires, the new Spanish miniseries from the homonymous novel by Alice Kellen, available from July 17. The series brings on the screen a romantic and training story that interweaves love, pain and self-search, adapting one of the most appreciated books of the Spanish author. The goal of Netflix is therefore to go to challenge Prime Video on the ground of Young Adult romantics where the competitor is currently dominating.
Produced by Netflix Spain, the miniseries tells the emotional journey of a young woman who, after an event destined to change her life, decides to follow a path made of challenges and desires left in inheritance by a very dear person. The series is from The map of desires, bestseller of the Spanish writer Alice Kellen, known for her contemporary romantic novels. The adaptation focuses on the themes of the book: mourning, personal growth and the possibility to rediscover hope through new encounters and new experiences.
La trama
The protagonist is Greta, a girl whose life is upset by a loss that forces her to question all her own certainties. To face the pain, he decides to follow a special “map of desires”, a path built through a series of goals and challenges that will lead her out of her comfort zone.
During this journey he meets Will, a young man who will change his way of seeing the future. Among new experiences, meetings and obstacles, Greta will have to understand whether she is ready to leave behind the past and to give herself a new chance.
