After the success of the first chapter, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 came first on Friday 17 July at 21:15 on Sky Cinema Uno and streamed on NOW. Directed once again by Emma Tammi and written by saga creator Scott Cawthon, the film shows Freddy Fazbear’s animated films in a new nightmare that expands the mythology of the famous video game franchise.
The first Five Nights at Freddy’s, released in 2023, was the horror film with the biggest fall of the year, touching $300 million worldwide. The sequel resumes the story a year after the events of the first film, introducing new characters, new settings and other mysteries related to Freddy Fazbear’s pizzeria. The film is taken from the famous video game saga Five Nights at Freddy’s, created by Scott Cawthon, who since its debut in 2014 has become one of the most popular horror phenomena of recent years. For this second chapter, production expands the universe of the series by introducing new settings, including the River Freddy’s, and numerous references to video games designed for saga fans.
La trama
It has been a year since the disturbing events at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. What was once a tragedy has become a local legend, to inspire the first Fazfest, a manifestation dedicated to the mysterious local.
Mike, former security guard, and police officer Vanessa chose not to tell young Abby what really happened to her soul friends. However, when the child succeeds in reuniting with Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy, a new series of terrifying events brings to light dark secrets about Freddy’s true origin and a horror hidden for decades.
Il cast
Josh Hutcherson returns to Mike Schmidt, former security guard at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, while Elizabeth Lail plays police officer Vanessa Shelly again. Piper Rubio takes over the role of young Abby, Mike’s sister and still deeply tied to the animatronics.
Matthew Lillard returns as William Afton, and Wayne Knight, along with new Mckenna Grace, Skeet Ulrich and Freddy Carter, called to expand the story with new characters.
