Hannibal Lecter – The origins of evil is a thriller-horror film, a fifth title made by Thomas Harris’ literary saga focused on the character immortalized by Anthony Hopkins with The Silence of the Innocents. In fact this film is a prequel that tells the origins of the character. Released in 2007 he was directed by Peter Webber and saw the role of the young Hannibal Gaspard Ulliel French actor who died in 2022 after a ski accident. The plot of Hannibal Lecter – The origins of evil tells just how to “form” a serial killer. When we meet Hannibal is 8 years old, he lives with his little sister in a castle in Lithuania from which they must escape because of the Nazis. Refused with the family in a farmhouse in the woods, parents die during a armed confrontation and children are taken hostage by the Nazis. Hannibal ends in an orphanage until he goes to Paris by a rich aunt of Japanese origins. He is educated, learns martial arts, begins to appreciate art, painting, music. He studied medicine and now adult returns to Lithuania to remember what happened in the past. And this is where he will perform his first act of cannibalism.
