The expected third chapter of Interview with Vampiro comes from the novels of Anne Rice and distributed by AMC in the USA. The Vampire Lestat will arrive from July 20 on Netflix where the entire Anne Rice universe is available. The subtitle was necessary because this season represents a narrative turning point with the story that passes in the hands of Lestat de Lioncourt, who decides to finally tell his version of the facts.
The first two seasons adapted the novel Interview with the vampire, while this new chapter is inspired by the second book of the saga, published in 1985 with the original title The Vampire Lestat and translated into Italy as Chosen by Darkness. The showrunner Rolin Jones explained that the series simply continues to follow the order of novels, moving the point of view from Louis to Lestat. The Vampire Lestat takes on the look of a rock biography, following Lestat as a real musical icon.

After the publication of the book Interview with the vampire, in which Louis told his story to journalist Daniel Molloy, Lestat believes that his figure was misunderstood. For this reason he decides to expose himself publicly and tell his truth in the most spectacular way possible.
Following his theatrical and self-centered nature, Lestat founded a rock band and embarks on a world tour that transforms him into a contemporary celebrity. At the same time, the series traces its past, the origins of its immortality, the bonds that marked its long existence and the complex relationship with Louis, woven present and flashback.
