On Sunday, July 19th at 9pm an alternative to the World Cup final will be the first-ever film on Rai 2 Love and Passion at Sylt (Verhängnisvolle Leidenschaft – Sylt), a 2025 German film directed by Elmar Fischer. Set on the famous island of Sylt, the TV movie tells the story of a woman who, after a difficult period, tries to start over but finds herself involved in a relationship destined to question every certainty.
Although set on the island of Sylt, the film was made in Norderney, another German town overlooking the North Sea. The beaches, dunes and coastal villas form a background to a sentimental history that interweaves desire, guilt and search for a new freedom. In addition to Rai 2 it will be available free streaming on RaiPlay
La trama
Nina Richter decided to move away from her life after a traumatic event that exposed her to media attention. At the invitation of the rich publisher Hedi von Carlsberg, he moved for some time to his villa on the island of Sylt with the aim of rediscovering serenity.
During a party he knows Daniel, a charming man with whom a strong attraction arises. Soon the two begin a clandestine relationship, despite both being married. The arrival on the island of Estelle, wife of Daniel, and later of Patrick, husband of Nina, will bring out secrets, lies and betrayals, forcing the protagonist to choose which direction to give to his life.
Il cast
The protagonist Nina Richter is played by Cornelia Gröschel, while Artjom Gilz dresses Daniel’s shoes, the man who upsets his existence.
The cast also featured Franz Dinda as Patrick, Nina’s husband, Leslie Malton as Hedi von Carlsberg, Anja Antonowicz as Estelle and Samir Fuchs as Raúl. The cast includes Julia Titze, Daniel Hasse, Sebi Jaeger and Lucas Lentes.
